release train

1. An approach to aligning the vision, planning, and interdependencies of many teams by providing cross-team synchronization based on a common cadence. A release train focuses on fast, flexible flow at the level of a larger product. 2. In the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), an Agile Release Train is a long-lived, self-organizing collection of agile teams that plans, commits, and executes together. Agile release trains are organized around the enterprise’s significant value streams (source, Scaled Agile Framework). See also scrum of scrums.
