dependency

A relationship between two or more activities or resources that requires a level of coordination to achieve desired flow. Failing to properly coordinate a dependency frequently leads to blockers. A dependency becomes a blocker when it is actually impeding flow. Not all dependencies are blockers, but all blockers are caused by the failed coordination of a dependency. See also blocker.
